They are small, often finger puppet size. But make no mistake, they take time to make. Each one is different, each made through the direct metal approach with welding torch and copper sheet and brazing rod. Much attention to detail.
Buying a Froglet is a wonderful way to get your feet wet collecting my work. With fine art, it is so important to see the work in person. Nothing beats it. That is why brick and mortar galleries persist. But, especially at this time, we are moving onto much more of an online community.
Froglets are an easy purchase, most between $100 and $200.
When you get a Froglet, made by me, you know what kind of craftsmanship goes into the work. You can enjoy the work, and feel secure knowing that you if you bought a larger piece, it would be to your liking. (Besides that, I guarantee my work. If someone commissions a piece and they aren’t happy with it, either I work to make it acceptable, or no sale.)
Froglets are currently not available in galleries.
If you do not absolutely love your froglet, return it and I will refund you.
I spend a LOT more time on these than I get paid for. A lot. Plus, I make them all myself. I currently do not have anyone else making them or even helping me make them. That will change...
Add to that, I blog about each froglet. In fact, I am blogging about every sculpture I make. So there is a nice paper trail. Not only is each piece signed and dated, but pictures of it are up on the blog. Your frog sculpture is up on the blog. It is a piece of history.
These froglets are particularly valuable because they are the FIRST ones I have made, which I started doing when covid happened. Also, in the future, not all froglets will be made entirely by my hand, necessarily. So these are special.
